I have been going to Bellevue Westlake Dental for almost 40 years. The staff are professional, warm, and caring. They carry out a thorough dental cleaning, and they are on top of any dental issues. Dr. James Choi and hygienist Charlotte Fitch have been absolutely stellar. I have consistently had good results from their care. At my recent appointment, I was very late, yet they managed to accommodate me with no fuss, without showing the stress I had added to their day. I have been coming to this office for almost 40 years; these days, that involves an hour commute one way. The staff are highly professional, extremely competent, and friendly. They do only work that is required - no padding (the reason I left my previous dentist). They check for periodontal issues each visit and monitor potential trouble spots. More advanced work I needed was done flawlessly, and the follow up was excellent. I have been enormously satisfied with the CARE I've received. As always, my experience was great! After losing the large filling on the UR incisor on Tuesday, they were able to get me in the next afternoon. I was so appreciative of this response. I did not want to break any of the remaining tooth structure. Deanna suggested composite needed to be slightly darker than the one used in 2012 and I agreed totally with her choice. Dr. Choi's injection wasn't felt AT ALL !!! They worked quickly and efficiently and I had complete confidence the finished product would be excellent. IT IS! One can not see that the tooth has a filling. It's beautifully shaped and is the same shade as all the upper incisors. I'm very pleased and ever so grateful for the next day appointment! Starting from the appointment till the end of the treatment, everything went smoothly. I was quite anxious about Covid-19 situation before going in for the appointment since I am pregnant and I am being very careful in general these days. However, I could see Bellevue Westlake Dental is trying their BESTEST in sanitizing, measuring patient’s temperature, keeping things very clean. All the extra protocols put me at ease. Dr. Choi and his staffs made me feel cozy (I never thought I would feel cozy at dentist office). Dr. Choi listened to all my concerns and problems and he thoroughly examined me and treated me with care. He is very professional and I cannot recommend him enough! My appointment was for a Prophy and Fluoride with the hygienist who has been there many years. As always, she scaled and polished my teeth with utmost care. She informed me, nicely, where I needed to do extra in my own care. She's an excellent Hygienist, very professional and very caring. I interacted with the Receptionist who is also experienced and excellent in that position. She was as a Chair-side assistant, too. All the staff care about their clients and each other.! I can't think of any place else I would go to have work done on my teeth. These folks are fantastic. They are very considerate of the patient's comfort. Their work is the best. I love how they can make crowns in the office so you don't have to come back another time (this is not applicable to front teeth unfortunately). Wow! Just wanted to say that Dr Choi is wonderful. His demeaner and chairside manner is calming and professional. I started with needing to have a tooth pulled. From the beginning, I was super anxious but Dr Choi made the entire process easier. I had my tooth pulled and replaced with an implant. The whole process was painless! Fast forward a few months and I just had the crown placed on the implant. Once again, the whole process was painless! He didn't even have to numb for the second appointment which was great. To top it off, his staff is nice and welcoming which also helped to make my anxiety go away. I would recommend Dr Choi to anyone and everyone who needs a caring and talented dentist in their life. I’ve been going to Bellevue Westlake Dental for many years. The hygienists are really gentle when they clean my teeth which is really important to me as at my previous dentist, the hygenists were really rough on my sensitive teeth. Dr. Choi and the previous dentist, Dr. Blair, take a wait and see approach to any teeth issues rather than forcing work on you that may actually be more than you need. So glad we found this wonderful dental practice when we moved from California to Washington. Not only have we received great dental care but everyone is very welcoming and friendly. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dr. Choi is pleasant and very conscious of your comfort. My procedure went without a hitch and in less time than I had expected. I also like that your crown can be made right there, while you wait. No need to make another appointment to remove a temporary and place the permanent crown.
